-Gender

Among both sexes, Topshop matches its collection for females as a result of them generally accessorizing themselves more than men as they are likely to ‘mix-match' garments they have got with accessories and the other way round. This makes females more susceptible to buying garments in a greater quantity compared to males, leading to Topshop's decision to appeal to the womanly gender mainly because it would result in a larger profit margin in comparison to just catering for guys. Hence, a ‘sister' company in the form of Topman is available to cater to the male market. -Age

Females between the ages of 21 years old to 21 years old are part of a mount of adults who test out fashion and are also brave enough to be risqué. Thus, it is more of a desire to dress well rather than just a simple need for them to put on clothes, as compared with women within an older age bracket. After all, spending power is needed when females reach that young adult age group although wanting to splurge on clothing is exactly where it halts with these types of young females as old women tend to tone straight down their strong dressing if the interest fades, resulting in these people not wanting to always be as proper care free in spending to get clothes. Therefore would make Topshop and young female adults a great match for each additional instead of the integrating of the more mature female market and Topshop.
