
This I Believe
I believe that to be a north american means to rely on yourself and stand up so that you believe in. So I have a story to share with about a youngster in my third grade school and what he believed in. In my third grade course at Ft Crawford we had a variety of students but a single student was very different than the rest of all of us. His name was Gino and he was a Jehovah see. Gino was everyone's friend and we did not treat him any totally different to what would be the norm everyone else yet my classmates and I don't understand some of the strange items he did or rather did not do. To begin with he failed to celebrate birthdays not even his own and he likewise didn't understand any nationwide holidays including Christmas and Halloween. However the one thing that didn't only confuse us but also confused the faculty at my school is that Gino don't say the pledge of devotion. One day Gino brought into school a book to learn at recess about two boys who also failed to say the promise of devotion. In the book two students were confronted by their particular teacher about not declaring the promise allegiance and were provided for the principal's office. Once in the office the principal had an American flag on his desk. He asked the boys to spit within the flag. The first youngster spit within the flag ahead of the principal actually finished his sentence but the second youngster refused. The key didn't realise why a student that wouldn't the pledge of allegiance as well showed respect to the flag by not spitting upon it. The student told the principal that he did not mean virtually any disrespect to the flag by not saying the give your word of devotion. The student loved America it absolutely was just against his religion to say the pledge. That book helped my classmates and I understand that Gino was not being negative by not really saying the pledge; he just a new different consider than the associated with us would. It is important in my opinion to stick up for the things I really believe in. Our society is filled with many different people, civilizations, values, concepts, religions, and BELIEFS.
