Holiday resort is a place where people often select rest or perhaps having activities as on holiday from inbound or telephone of the country. Current tendency on holiday vacation spot indicates that resort with traditional, historical past and ethnic elements in the design, is considered the most popular form of resort design and style throughout the world. Malaysia with its Truly Asia slogan in its tourism campaign is usually promoting the uniqueness of local ethnic and historical past. Malaysia includes a various types of resort style or new languages that can be categorized into four style i. electronic. Colonialism, Contemporary International, Traditionalism/Vernacularism/Regionalism and contemporary. Aim of the paper should be to study the decorative component of Traditional Malay Architecture employed, to the hotel design to promote the Malay architecture and heritage to gaze the awareness of the tourist on the element history as well as the traditional/ vernacular / regional style of resort in Malaysia. 8-10 case studies from chosen local holiday resort in Peninsular Malaysia had been chose as comparison. Finally, the authors reached the final outcome that resorts in Malaysia plays significant roles to promote local structures and heritage.

The conventional / vernacular / local styles of hotel design could be the main debate. Eight circumstance studies coming from selected community resort in Peninsular Malaysia were select as comparison. Finally, the authors come to the conclusion that resorts in Malaysia plays significant functions in promoting neighborhood architecture and heritage.
