Sihirtes, sigies, olasnes -- mythical beings of North-Samoyed peoples

The mythical peoples of Nenets folklore, especially the sihirtes, are typically in the focus of scientific interest. The classical article of Chernetsov[1] and of Vasiljev[2] presents us the theory that sihirtes were the old inhabitants of North-Siberia. This kind of theory influenced several ongoing researches, particularly in the field of archaeology of Yamal peninsula, but following the summary of sihirte-legends generally there aren't virtually any comparative research about the parallel tendency of the other North-Samoyed peoples.
